Food Access Director: Lead a team of colleagues at Arcadia’s Mobile Market, entering its 10th year of making high quality local food convenient and affordable in under-resourced neighborhoods in Washington, D.C. $1.5 million in locally, sustainably grown food sold and distributed to the benefit of the city’s most vulnerable residents and local farmers.
You’ll oversee a substantial budget, a fleet of four vehicles and a busy headquarters operation, and manage a highly collaborative, dedicated staff of up to 15 full and part-time colleagues, and support programs and efforts with the potential to permanently transform food access in the neighborhoods we serve, not just the perpetuation of the Arcadia Mobile Market.
You’ll be a key part of the Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture’s program team, which cultivates vibrant local food systems that prioritize health, equity, and sustainability, from the farm forward.
Salary Range: Mid-to-upper 40s.

Mobile Market Operations Manager: Lead Arcadia Mobile Markets’ local food sourcing operations, overseeing farmer relationships, ordering, inventory management, food-safe management, and internal distribution of up to $300,000 in food in and out of our headquarters operation in Washington, D.C. You will also oversee vehicle maintenance. You will work collaboratively with the Food Access director and community manager to provide excellent products to our customers all year round.

Mobile Market Mobile Market Community & Innovation Manager: Blaze a new trail in this new, USDA-grant funded position (3 years). Lead Arcadia Mobile Markets’ customer and partner outreach, deepening our relationships with both. Implement customer surveys and evaluations, and create innovative new ways to serve them based on their feedback. Build the Mobile Market Loyalty Program, analyze sales data to identify purchasing patterns and other insights and use those to shape Mobile Market offerings, promotions and programs for the benefit of our customers health and well being. You’ll work closely and collaboratively with the Food Access director and Operations Manager to shape the Mobile Market for the future, while providing outstanding service to our customers now.

Farm Manager- Farm Trainer: Join Arcadia’s Production and Training Farm as a co-manager on our farm in southeastern Fairfax County, Virginia near Fort Belvoir and Mount Vernon. We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented farmer committed to modeling and teaching sustainable growing practices who wants to work as part of a team. You’ll work with a co-manager, a small crew of military veterans training to be farmers, and dedicated volunteers on a busy, 4-acre mixed vegetable farm that is also home to a farm incubator and a professional compost operation. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with volunteers, training farm apprentices, and supporting colleagues and their programs in educational programs and food access. You should be unafraid to ask for help or ask questions.
